I can give you a CD that has a full 16 bit dynamic range. Many CDs only end up with 10 bits of resolution. I adjust volumes, EQ, and compression, so all the songs match. The CD volume will be competitive, without destroying the dynamic range. Elevated levels can reduced CDs to mp3 dynamic range and quality. Cd sales are down because of sound quality. People can't hear the difference from a CD and an mp3. I will do my best to make your CD sound great.

Mastering and Mixing Facts
Dynamic range is a measurement from the softest section,
to the loudest. It is measured in decibels. The CD redbook
standard of 16 bits
allows a dynamic range of 96 db. (there are 6 db’s
per bit) When
you maximize a CD, you reduce the dynamic range.
In
digital recording, there is nothing above 0. When you go above 0,
you are just throwing away
that
information, and dynamic range.
Everyone wants their CD to be louder.
In the last two years, the Grammy committee said they couldn't’ find
a CD that sounded good enough to be awarded best engineered
album. We have been guilty at times of doing the same thing,
however,
we are trying to be more conservative
with levels. If
you want your CD to be louder, then turn up the amplifier. If you
find a CD that is really loud, and sounds good, it
would sound even better with more dynamic range.
